All variables starting with cmefg100Lad relate to the Learned MAC Address Database. Due to the large size of the LAD database and the limited memory within the Agent, the cache is loaded into the cache memory buffer only when it is requested via this MIB variable. Setting this var to loadCache commands the agent to upload the LAD from the device exactly one time. Note that the contents of this cache are NOT automatically refreshed. Setting this variable to 'release' causes the data in the cache to be purged, even if the cache buffer contains data of an entirely different type, such as the VLAN table cache. Thus, it is not necessary to know what type of data was most recently loaded into the cache buffer, but it is necessary to take care not to release data that is currently in use. A genErr will be returned if any other command involving reading or writing the LAD or the VLAN table is in progress.
