DEPRECATED 2.0.1 For TDM and subrate channels, each hop of the path is indicates using three bytes. The first two bytes are the node number. The most significant bit of the first byte of the node number will be set to one if the channel is connected at a subrate speed and the node contains an SGM. The third byte identifies the INL that the channel passes through. For packet channels, each hop of the path is indicated using five bytes. The first two bytes are the node number. The third and fourth bytes are the nest and slot numbers, respectively, of the FSM that this packet channel passes through. The fifth number identifies the INL that the channel passes through.
