If the address offset is specified as zero, then the data is not parsed to find a device address in order to direct the data to a specified LLC connection. If the address offset is 1 to 255, then the 8 bits specified at that offset (where offset 1 is the first byte of a message received) are interpreted as an address. If this field is set 0 zero, then only one CU record is allowed (i.e. all data sent/received to/from the line is to/from one network connection). If this field is greater than 0 (address offset specified) then one or more CU records can be configured to route the data based on the device address. The default value is 1.
