A port's current control signal status. All SDLC ports have the ability to read the current status of RS-232 or equivalent control signals. The value returned is a 16 bit value where each bit signifies a signal status where 1 means the signal is active and 0 means the signal is inactive. The value returned is a snapshot taken when the command actually is sent to the driver software and wherever possible actually goes out to the driver or receiver control chips to get the value. Currently defined bit values are as follows*: 128 : Data Terminal Ready 0x0080 RS-232 pin 20 64 : Data Set Ready 0x0040 RS-232 pin 6 32 : Clear to Send 0x0020 RS-232 pin 5 16 : Clear to Send Ext. 0x0010 RS-232 pin 11** 8 : Data Carrier Detect 0x0008 RS-232 pin 8 4 : Busy Out 0x0004 RS-232 pin 25 2 : Request to send 0x0002 RS-232 pin 4 1 : Ring Indicator 0x0001 RS-232 pin 22 Note*: Bit values higher than 128 are reserved for future use. Note**: Clear to Send External is extended (non- standard) pin and reserved for future use by Sync Research.
